The purpose of the Studio to Advance Urban Creativity & Education (SAUCE) is to cultivate and empower a flourishing community of urban creatives, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
Our mission is to provide a safe space for urban creatives, professionals, and entrepreneurs to showcase talents, develop skills, and share ideas within a community of like-minded individuals.
Robert and Kiana Hughes are passionate about sharing their gifts and talents with their community. Robert is an artist and designer who creates customized footwear, apparel, home decor and accessories. Kiana is a curriculum developer who has been a cannabis educator and advocate since 2015.
In January 2020, Kiana opened Elevated Education in Park Forest, IL (a south suburb of Chicago) to provide community outreach and education about the cannabis plant and the emerging industry in Illinois. Unfortunately, Kiana was forced to close the location shortly thereafter due to the pandemic shutdown. When Robert was unable to find a location or secure funding to host his custom sneaker design workshops for teens, the couple decided to take matters into their own hands. They opened the Studio to Advance Urban Creativity & Education (SAUCE) in Spring 2024.
The SAUCE is a unique and innovative place where members connect, collaborate, and create content. Our facilities include a studio, private lounge and a fenced yard for members to host and attend a variety of personal and professional development events.
